Visit Cardigan Castle this year for the Not a Normal Midwinter’s Dream giant lantern trail and let the magic begin… Presented in partnerships with Small World Theatre, this festive-themed event in the grounds of Cardigan Castle is supported by Cardigan Town Council.
Small World Theatre has brought Giant Lantern Parades to Cardigan at this time of year since 2016, bringing communities together and celebrating the winter season. This year we are teaming up to bring you an enchanting lantern trail, full of surprises and installations. After dark the Castle grounds will be brought to life with glowing lanterns, aerial circus, music, performance and more. It is sure to be an unmissable evening of winter wonder.

The Trail will be around 30 minutes long for each family group/ bubble. Admission tickets give access to areas of the lantern trail experience only.
Do I need to pre-book?
Pre-booking is essential. Bookings open from the 20th of November 2020 for families/ bubble groups of up to 9 people per group.
What safety measures are in place?
There will be stewards to guide you through the lantern trail safely and in line with Welsh Government Covid-Secure guidelines. You will be given a start time slot to help manage the pedestrian flow and allow you and your ‘bubble’ to enjoy your experience. You will be asked to wear face coverings and maintain a 2m distance from staff, volunteers and other groups starting at your start time. The Trail is about 30 minutes. Please be punctual.
