Europe’s premier ceramics Festival
Since it’s establishment in 1987, every festival has featured a range of international guests who demonstrate their techniques on stage, build and fire a kiln in the grounds of Aberystwyth Arts Centre, participate in the festival lecture programme and are on hand to offer their expertise to visitors.
ICF 2025 is excited to be focussing on a sustainability theme for the next festival. It will include examples of low energy kilns, single firing techniques, work created from waste materials, kintsugi and traditional practices in Japan and India. Confirmed demonstrators include Jean Sampson (Wales), Euan Craig (Japan), Elif Ağatekin (Turkey), Yuliya Makliuk, Adil Writer (India) and Lisa Orr (US).
The programme for the 2025 festival is updated as guests are confirmed – below are some of the demonstrators, key themes and exhibitions which will make ICF 2025 the most comprehensive and inspiring festival yet.
Patty Wouters – Belgium
Jane Jermyn – Ireland
Louise Bell – England
Doug Fitch and Hannah McAndrew – Scotland
Rich Miller – England
