The following information will help you select the best airport to fly to when travelling to Cardigan Bay.
All airports have good coach, train and road links to West Wales. Check with your travel agent or use the links for more details.
From London:
Heathrow is the most convenient. There are regular coaches from the airport to West Wales or take the bus to Reading rail station and then the train to Carmarthen.
Stansted. There is a train service via Birmingham to Aberystwyth but it takes all day!
Luton and Gatwick are north and south of London so it means a one hour plus trip into London to pick up a train or coach to West Wales.
Traveller’s Tip
The low cost airline EasyJet flies into Luton from many European cities and offers economic car hire. It is about 4 hours drive to West Wales.
From Birmingham
There is a train to Aberystwyth approximately every two hours. By car is about 3 hours drive.
From Manchester
By car three hours drive to Aberystwyth via the beautiful Snowdonia National park. National Coaches run a regular service from the airport to Aberystwyth
From Bristol or Cardiff
Flights from U.K. and some European cities, including Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris.
